Itinerary

1. Rome

   Arrival into Rome. Balance of the day is at leisure for you to get acquainted with the Eternal City.

2. Rome

   Your morning tour reveals Rome's infinite aspects and eras. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore areas not covered by your city tour or for some shopping. (B)

3. Rome

   Full day at leisure. Stroll down the beautiful Via Condotti or the romantic Spanish Steps. Discover Rome's hidden treasures at your own pace. (B)

4. Rome/Pompeii/Sorrento

   Morning departure by motorcoach for Sorrento. Arrive in Naples for a short orientation tour of the city. Continue on to Pompeii, the famous Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D., for a visit of the excavations. After lunch in a local restaurant, proceed to Sorrento, a lovely resort town full of villas, gardens in bloom, and hotels overlooking the Gulf of Naples. (B,L)

5. Sorrento

   Full days at leisure to unwind in this charming resort town. You may want to enjoy an optional excursion to Capri, the island of dreams, or along the Amalfi Coast, or embrace the delightful southern charm of Sorrento's people from a sidewalk cafe. (B)
